William was born in about 1559, the son of Ralph Bourchier and Elizabeth Hall.[1][2]
William was admitted to Gray's Inn in 1579.[2]
William was 25 in 1584.[2]
He married Katherine Barrington, daughter of Sir Thomas Barrington of Hatfield Broad Oak, Essex.[2] The History of Parliament Online biography of his father gives the marriage date as about 1588.[3]
He was declared a lunatic before his death,[3] and placed in the custody of his brother-in-law. He died before 16 June 1601, when there is a reference to his brother John seeking to safeguard the estate for his heir and fearing the outcome if William's brother-in-law "have too absolute power in disposing of the estate."[4]
