Biography

Capt. Cape Colonial Forces, formerly 35th and 65th Regts.

Charles Legendre Johnstone Bourchier was born on 5 August 1851 in Clutton. [1]

He was christened on 21 September 1851. [2]

In 1871 he was a cadet at Sandhurst[3]

He was commissioned and served as a 2nd Lt in 65th Regiment of Foot, resigning his commission on 2 November 1873[4]


Wife Ann Werge Howey. Marriage 15 Apr 1873. Christ Church, Tynemouth, Northumberland, England. [5]

After his first wife's death he married again and had further children.

He died on 26 November 1891 and is buried in Church Stretton Cemetery in Shropshire.[6]

Bourchier-258 and Bourchier-441 appear to represent the same person because: wikitree didn't offer me any similar profiles - a quick search, after I'd done the creation showed me this!
