Ambroise Bourg is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 12 Left, La Ville d'Arcangel. Listed with Ambroise is his wife Marie Modeste Moulaison and nine of their children: Marie Victoire, Modeste Aimee, Magdelaine, Julie Therese, Isabelle, Joseph, Pelagie, Modeste and Ambroise.[1]

Married 2nd on 12 [sic] Jul 1763 at Ste. Trinite of Cherbourg, Manche [France] to Marie-Modeste MOLAISON, daughter of Jacques & Cecile MELANCON[3]

On 12 Aug 1785 Ambroise and 2nd wife with 9 children departed from France on the ship "La Ville D'Archangel," which arrived in Louisiana on 3 Dec 1785[4]
