Biography

Madeleine Bourg was born in 1677 in Port Royal, Acadie, Nouvelle-France, daughter of François Bourg (about 1643–about 1685) and Marguerite Boudrot (about 1648–about 1718).[1]

Madeleine (15) and Pierre Maisonnat (34) were married in 1693 in Port-Royal, Acadie. They were living there at the time of the census, in a rather wealthy household that included no children, but 15 guns.[2]

Their daughter was Marie Madeleine Maisonnet (about 1695–after 1779).

Madeleine (19) and Pierre LeBlanc (32) were married about 1697 in Port-Royal, Acadie. They lived in Port Royal in 1698 with his son Pierre and her daughter Madeleine. She was likely pregnant with their first child.[3]

Their children were:

  1. Joseph Leblanc (about 1698–1775)
  2. Anne LeBlanc (about 1700–1792)
  3. Jean Simon LeBlanc (1703–after 1766)
  4. Marie LeBlanc (1706–1781)
  5. Pierre Leblanc (1708–before 1756)
  6. Paul LeBlanc (about 1711–1773)
  7. Magdelaine LeBlanc (1714–1715)
  8. Charles LeBlanc (1716–1805)

Madeleine died after December 3, 1730 in Annapolis Royal, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia, aged 52.

L Lanctot names her mother as Marguerite Martin -"Magdeleine Bourg, fille de Jehan Bourg et de Marguerite Martin." [p123] For what it's worth.

There were two Madeleine Bourgs born about the same time of different parents. The couple you mentioned also had a daughter Madeleine Bourg, a different person from this profile. Unfortunately Leopold Lanctot's work has a lot of errors mixed in with good information, and because it isn't reliable it isn't used in this project.
Bourg-745 and Bourg-89 appear to represent the same person because: same family members--some are duplicated.

Bourg-89 and Bourg-745 are identical.
