Chellon [Chaillou]veuve Bourg is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 7-Left La Bergere. Listed with her are four children: Jean Baptiste, Andre, Charles, and Marie. [1]

Marie Genevieve Bourg was born about 1766. She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Bourg and Jeanne Chaillou. She was baptized 19 June 1766 at Notre Dame des Ardeliers Church, Miquelon. Her godparents were Jean Brillant and Dlle Dangeac.[2][3]

She was on the 1770 Census at La Rochelle, France. [4]

15 August 1785 Immigration to New Orleans, Orleans, LA: Marie Bourg, age 18, traveling with Jeanne Chellon, widow Bourg, age 56, and three siblings as the 24th family of 5 persons aboard "La Bergere" which embarked in France on 14 May 1785 and disembarked in Louisiana on 15 Aug 1785. She married Antoine Moulard, also a passenger of the same ship about 6 weeks later. [5]

1 January 1789 Census Lafourche, Louisiana: Antoine Moulard, age 35, listed with his wife Jenevieve Bourg, age 21, and his son Antoine, age 3 in a household of 3 persons. They have 6 arpents of land, 15 quarts of corn, 2 head of cattle, 1 horse, and 12 hogs.[7]

She died in April of 1834 and was buried 29 April 1834 at Donaldsonville, Ascension Parish.[8]
