Biography

FRANCOIS XAVIER BOURG is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana, on Plaque 12L: La Ville D'Arcangel, Arrivee le 3 Decembre 1785. He is listed with his second wife, Marguerite Pelagie HENRY, and his children Felix Xavier, Joseph Faustin, Marie Isabelle, Maximilien, Isabelle, Pierre, and Anne Victoire BOURG, as well as Charles BOURG, and his wife, Marguerite LEBLANC.^[1]

Joseph Faustin Bourg, son of exiled Acadians Francois Xavier Bourg and Elisabeth LeBlanc, was born in 1773 in Crehen (near Pleurtuit), Ille et Vilaine, France.
