Biography

Philomena Bourgeois [or Bourgois] was born on 3 Apr 1894 in Stephenville, Newfoundland.[1] (about May 1894 in Stephenville according to the 1911 Newfoundland census[2])

Her parents were listed as Alexander and Henrietta Bourgeois according to her birth registration,[1] or Alexander and Harriet Bourgois according to the 1911 census record.[2]

In the 1911 Newfoundland census, Philomena Bourgois (17) was living in Stephenville, Newfoundland (St. George's Bay area), with her parents Alexander Bourgois (78) and Harriet Bourgois (55), and her siblings Esther (25), Narcis (15) and Joseph (13).[2]
