Nicolas Bourgeois 40 ; Claire Charpentier, sa femme, 38 ; enfants : Marie Françoise 7, Nicolas 4, Pierre 2 ; 1 bête à cornes ; 4 arpents en valeur.[2]

At some point they moved to Île Jésus, after this census.

Claire Carpentier died in 1687 in Lachenaie.[1]

Marriage 2

Nicolas Bourgeois remarried on 4 Oct 1688 in Lachenaie with Marie Garnier, widow of Olivier Charbonneau[3]

He is present at the marriage of his daughter in 1692. No further trace was found of him, he is not mentioned on his second wife's funeral in 1701.[1]

Was he among those killed in the various raids from the Iroquois of this period? Île Jésus is one of the locations such happened.
