Biography
Miles Bourke, 2nd Viscount Mayo was the son of Theobald Bourke, 1st Viscount Mayo and Maud Sligo. He married, firstly, Honora Bourke, daughter of Sir John Bourke and Margaret de Burgh. He married, secondly, Elizabeth Hodges, daughter of William Hodges and Mary Freke. He died in 1649.1 He held the office of Governor of County Mayo, jointly. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Mayo [I., 1627] on 13 June 1629. He was created 1st Baronet Bourke [Scotland] circa 1638.
