Early family researchers indicate that he owned a farm in Laurens County and died in 1816. The family story is that he is buried on the family land in Laurens County. Ancestry Media Supporting documentation for this information was not found.
An 1820 census record in Richmond County, Georgia has been found which would contradict the earlier thoughts about the family.
His youngest son is also thought by early researchers to have been born about 1816; however, census records contradict that by estimating his birth about 1820.
It is the opinion of this researcher that the original information/family lore by early family researchers is outdated and has been repeated without verification of available sources/resources.
