Biography
Mary Bourne was baptised on 18th March 1804 in Measham, Leicestershire, England. She was the daughter of Thomas Burn and Ann Wildman. [1]
Mary Bourn was married to Thomas Hogg on 6th October 1823 in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. John Sawyer and Mary Goacher were witnesses. [2]
In 1841 Mary Hogg (37), her daughter Catherine (15, a lace worker), sons Thomas (10), William (6) and Edward (2) and Mary's mother, Ann Bourne (a widow, 66) were living in Church Gresley, Derbyshire, England. [3]
In 1851, Thomas Hogg (46) and his wife, Mary (46) had four children, William (15), Edward (12), Mary (9) and St John (3) living with them in Warren Hill Houses, Moira, Leicestershire. [4]
In 1861, Mary Hogg (57) and her husband, Thomas Hogg (56, a collier) were living in Moira Park, Ashby de la Zouch. They had one child, St John Hogg (13) living with them. [5]
Mary Hogg of Moira died age 65 years in 1868 and was buried on 27th June in Donisthorpe. [6][7][8]
