Biography

Eustache was born in January, 1712 and was christened 2 months later. He is the son of Joseph Jean Boutin and Marie Marguerite Lejeune. [1][2] [3]
In 1752 he lived in Baye des Espagnols, Isle Royale, Acadia. He was on the 1752 (LaRoque) census, as Antoine, age 40 years married to Agathe Bige also aged 40 with seven children[4]

Eustache/Antoine was born in 1712:

Baptême, St-Charles-les-Mines, 1712-03-27
Naissance : 1712-01-15
BOUTIN, EUSTACHE
JOSEPH, Père & LEJEUNE, MARIE, Mère [5]

1714

He is likely son of Joseph Boutin, who lived with his wife and 3 sons in 1714 in Pisiguit.[6]

1735-1750

"Joseph's second son Eustache, born probably at Pigiguit in January 1712, married Agathe, daughter of François Viger and Marie Mius d'Azy, in c1734 probably at Pigiguit and followed his family to Baie-des-Espagnols. According to Bona Arsenault, between 1735 and 1750, Agathe gave Eustache (Arsenault calls him Antoine) six children, four sons and two daughters, but other records give them another daughter" [7]

1752

"Eustache, also called Antoine, born at Minas in January 1712, married Agathe, daughter of François Viger and Marie Mius, in c1734 and also moved to Île Royale in the late 1740s. In April 1752, a French official counted Antoine, who he called Boulin, and his family at Baie-des-Espagnols on Île Royale. The census taker said that Antoine was a ploughman, age 40, wife Agathe, who he called Bige, also was age 40, and that they were living with five children: Jean-Baptiste, age 17; Qualier, age 12; Angélique, age 9; Joseph, age 7; and François, age 5. The census taker also noted that the family had been "Three years in the Colony come September," that "They have rations for 33 mos., and that their "land was given verbally by Messrs. Desherbiers and Prevost." At least one of his sons married, into the Savoie family, and died at Rochefort, France." [9] [10]
