He was the son of Hon. Bartholemew Bouverie and Mary Wyndham Arundell. He was born on 15 August 1783. He married Lady Frances Charlotte Courtenay, daughter of Rt. Rev. Henry Reginald Courtenay and Lady Elizabeth Howard, on 20 November 1811.1 He died on 22 July 1874 at age 90.
He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1806 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He held the office of Prebendary of Salisbury.2 He was Vicar at Coleshill, Buckinghamshire, England.
He held the office of Chaplain-in-Ordinary to HM Queen Victoria.
