Biography

Thomas Bowen immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

'After 11 April 1663, when he wrote his will.

'Before February 1663/4, when his will was sworn to by Gov. Thomas Prince at Plymouth. His will mentions that he was a late inhabitant of New London in the jurisdiction of Connecticut, although now at Rehoboth in Massachusetts. He mentions his wife Elizabeth, his son Richard, his brother Obadiah and his brother-in-law Robert Fuller.^[2]

When Thomas Bowen was born sometime between 1625 ^{[3] [4]} 1634 ^[5] in Britian to his father Richard Bowen and his mother. Thomas married Elizabeth Nichols about 1659 ^[6]. They had one son and one daughter between 1660 and 1663. He died as a young father in 1663 in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. ^{[7] [8] [9]}

Research notes

Wife should be Elizabeth Nichols. The confusion comes from Elizabeth's second marriage to Samuel Fuller. Some genealogies printed that his wife was Elizabeth Brewster (which has been discussed and dismissed) Samuel Fuller, Was his wife Elizabeth Brewster?
