Janie Christine Bowen Thompson, age 82, of Murfreesboro went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Tommy Bowen and Eura Mai Modrall Bowen Beasley
Mrs. Thompson is survived by daughter and son-in-law Fay and Philip Lane of Murfreesboro; grandsons Malvin (Eve) Lane, Paul (Candice) Lane and Andy Lane; and great-grandchildren Josh, Megan, Molly, Alexis and Landon Lane.
Mrs. Thompson was a charter member of Bellwood Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Malvin H. Thompson, who died in 2003, and brothers Jennings Bowen and Charles Anderson Beasley. Active pallbearers will be Malvin, Paul, Andy and Philip Lane.
