Biography
When Joseph 'Joe' Bowen was born on December 1, 1918, in Abbeville, South Carolina, his father, Robert, was 38 and his mother, Nora, was 38.[1] He had two brothers and two sisters and was the husband of Elise M. Brown, they married on December 4, 1942 in Greenville (Anderson), SC.[2] He died on August 6, 1991, in Iva, South Carolina, at the age of 72, and was buried in Anderson, South Carolina.[3]
