Biography

Born Arthur was born in 1885 ^[1], the son of Samuel Bower and Dorothy Swain. He was baptised on 8 November 1885 in Brackenfield Derbyshire ^[2].
In 1891 ^[3] Arthur (5) was living with his parents, Samuel "agricultural labourer" and Dorothy, in Brackenfield with his four siblings.
In 1901 ^[4] Arthur (15) "general farm servant" working for George Limb (56) and family on Broomhill Farm Brackenfield Derbyshire.

Marriage On 27 June 1909 Arthur married Annie Mabel Coleman in All Saints Ripley ^{[5] [6]}.
Arthur and Annie had three children:
