I agree with Jean about Iwerner Minster. Thomas's contemporary Thomas Bower was definitely a different person, as his descendants and history are described at A-II in "THE GENEALOGY OF THE BOWER FAMILY" at http://www.kittybrewster.com/bower/oldbower.htm
As part of the England counties cleanup we're trying to move place references down as far as we can. Can you change the 'Lincolnshire' Category link to a specific place or to 'Lincolnshire Unknown Places' please?
The information here for Thomas Bowers is not correct. Iwerner Minster is a place, not the spouse's name. The Thomas Bowers who was from Iwerner Minster, was not George's father. His will does not list a son named George. The Bower family from that area do not appear to be related. No Georges in the family names.
I found a record through the National Archives of litigation naming a George Bowers, late of Kennington (near Dunholme, Lincolnshire which is NE of Lincoln) involving tenement and land. This could possibly be George's father. No proof that I am aware of has been found. I would be glad to attach a copy to this profile if needed.
Cheers, Chris
