Obituary
LEEDS - Shelby Jerome Bowman, age 73 of Leeds, died Monday, April 6, 2009. Mr. Bowman was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church, Deacon, Training Union Director, RA Leader and Sunday School Teacher. He was employed with Rust Engineering for 30 years. Preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Bowman. He is survived by his wife, Laura Bowman; sons, Mike (Debbie) Bowman, Alan (Paula) Bowman; step sons, Mitch (Rena) Bartee, Ross (Christy) Bartee; sisters, Jorette Mims, Karen Watkins; eight grandchildren, Scott, Brooke, Seth and Nathan Bowman; Hayden, Katherine, Lily and Jackson Bartee. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, April 8, 10 a.m., Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with Burial at Forest Crest Cemetery. The family requests that Donations or Memorials be made to St. Clair County Gideons or the Leeds Welfare. Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds directed.Published in St. Clair Times on Apr. 9, 2009
