In the 1841 England Census John Bowman 20 born abt 1821 but not in the county, cooper, was head of his household in Askham, Westmorland, England. Other Household Members were Hannah Bowman 40 not born in the county, and the others all born in Westmorland, Mary Bowman 35, Edmund Bowman 20, William Bowman 15, Mary Bowman 14, Thomas Bowman 11, Parker Bowman 9, and Richard Bowman 7. In the 1851 England Census Hannah Bowman 55 born abt 1796 in Crosby, Cumberland, England, widow, washerwoman, was head of her household in Askham, Westmorland, England. Other Household Members were her children all born in Askham, Edmund Bowman 32 cooper, William Bowman 30 formerly servant, and Richard Bowman 16 errand boy. [3]
Edmund Bowman, born abt 1819, died aged 82 years in Jul-Aug-Sep 1901 in West Ward, Westmorland. [4]
