When Mary Bowman was born on September 6, 1813, in Monroe, Tennessee, her father, George Bowman, was 30, and her mother, Susannah Davis, was 26. She married George Washington Wallen in 1833 in Campbell, Tennessee. They had 13 children in 29 years. Mary's date of death is unknown, but we do know she was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Clinton, Kentucky.
