Henry Ecker Bowman, the son of John W. Bowman and Ann Eicher, was born 13 August 1843, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania. He died 27 March 1923, Findlay, Hancock, Ohio.
Henry Ecker Bowman enlisted 19 August 1862, he served in the 118th Regiment, Ohio Infantry. Henry mustered out 16 June 1865.
Henry married twice:
Emaline Warren - 16 Jan 1868, Hancock County, Ohio.  She died sometime between the 1880 census and the 1900 census.
Cynthia M. Dearing (nee Firby) - 25 August 1904, Lucas County, Ohio.  They were divorced by 1910 as both are listed as "widowed." She outlived him by 3 years and collected on his Civil War pension. Her first husband was Charles F. Dearing - divorced.
