Biography
When Hannah Bowman was born on March 8, 1774, in Clarendon, Vermont, her father, John, was 29, and her mother, Sarah, was 17. She married Gardner Salisbury in 1789 in her hometown. They had 13 children in 30 years. She died in 1821 in Hamburg, New York, at the age of 47.
