DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
If this John Bowman was born in Germany in 1764 then Jacob Bowman-862 and his wife Fronica cannot possibly have been his parents. In 1764 they were living in Washington County, Maryland. And they already had a son John Bowman-860 who was born about 1743 and died in 1830. Are there any objections to my removing them as the parents of this John Bowman-1889?
