James Bowman lived 10 months with his Father, Isaac Bowman after he married Elizabeth. They were farmers and members of Marleborough monthly meeting. They moved to Wesley township, Washington Co., Ohio where they became members of Chesterfield monthly meeting. We commenced in a round log cabin in the woods and with industry and frugality and the blessing of a kind providence on our honest labor we have been permitted to gather around us the comforts of life for which we feel grateful to our God knowing full well that all our blessings flow from him, both spiritual and temporal.
