Charles was an oil and gas driller, served as village councilman

Charles' marriage license (ref. below) and his certificate of death (ref. below) both list his date of birth as the 26th and his place of birth as Chesterhill, Morgan County, Ohio and Morgan County, Ohio. His marriage license also lists his mother's maiden name as "Van Long" although his death certificate lists "Van Law."
