1910 Gladys may have been cared for by her grandparents Randolph and Rebeky Tincher in Proctor, Lee, Kentucky when she and her sister Jessie were tiny children. In 1920 the Tincher household comprised:
1930 By 1930 Gladys had married Nathan Pence and given birth to three children. The family was living in Wells, Marquette, Michigan where Nathan worked as a "woodsman."
1940 Gladys's family had moved to Enterprise, Wisconsin by 1940. Nathan was too ill to work and Gladys seems to have supported the growing family with a "mother's pension."
1996 Gladys Marie Bowman Pence died 23 Feb 1996 in Oneida County, Wisconsin, USA.[1][5]
