Sarah Elizabeth Bowyer was born on January 22, 1847 in Anderson County, Kentucky, United States, daughter of William Engle Bowyer (1819–1887) and Sarah Ann Tinsley (1824–1847).
Sarah had a brother, William Engle Bowyer (1842–1847).
Sarah (17) married Joseph Taylor Hammond (22) (born on February 17, 1842 in Shelby Co, Kentucky USA; son of Hutson L Hammond Jr and Sarah (Taylor) Hammond) in 1865 in Shelby County, KY. Their known children were:
Sarah passed away on April 27, 1912 in Alton, Anderson County, aged 65. She was buried in Beech Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Shelby County, Kentucky.[1][2]
