Abraham Boyce was born before and christened on 12 September 1813 in Downham Market, Norfolk, England, the son of William and Babaca Boyce [1], the son of William Boyce and Rebecca Bensley and his siblings were Mary Boyce (1801-1827), William Boyce (1802-1802), William Boyce (1803-Dec), George Boyce (1805-), John Boyce (1807-Dec), Charles Boyce (1808-1881), Henry Boyce (1810-1861), James Boyce (1812-1876) and Isaac Boyce (1815-1816).
He married Esther Wright on 15 October 1839 in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England [2] and their children were Ann Boyce (1849-1918), Mary Boyce (1843-1920), Susannah Boyce (1847-1862), William Boyce (1845-bef.1851), William Boyce (1850-1915), John Francis Thomas Boyce (1854-1854), Thomas John Boyce (1855-1934) and Jessie Evelyn Boyce (1858-1929).
In the Census of 1841 they were living in the Parish of St Mary, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England with their oldest child Ann, aged 1 year, Esther's mother Ann, and 20 year old her brother, William [3] and by 1853 they had younger three more children. Another son had been born in 1845 but he died prior to the Census date [4].
Benjamin, Esther and their four children, Ann (13), Mary (9), Susanna (6), William (2), migrated to Australia, leaving from Southampton, England to South Australia, aboard the Hyderabad on 7 December 1853 and arriving at Port Adelaide on 14 March 1854 [5][6].
Abraham passed away on 11 October 1899 in North Adelaide, South Australia, Australia [7] and was buried in the Walkerville Wesleyan Cemetery, Walkerville, South Australia, Australia [8].
