Elbert was born in 1912. He was the son of Irvin Boyd and Hattie Mims. He passed away in 2004.

Elbert Boyd, 91, of Berlin died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today, Jan. 21, at Sardis Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Benton officiating.

Born Jan. 25, 1912, in Colquitt County, Mr. Boyd was the son of the late Hattie Mims Boyd and Irvin Boyd. He was a retired farmer and was of the Protestant faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia Blalock Boyd; three brothers, Elzie Boyd, Jasper Boyd and Turner Boyd; and three sisters, Betsy Flowers, Florence White and Lillian Dyer.

Survivors include a brother; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
