Elizabeth was born about 1740 to parents William Boyd and Elizabeth McTeer. It is unclear whether she was also a relatively recent immigrant to the American colonies or if she was born there.
Her husband Robert Steen was born about 1740, the son of Richard Steen of County Antrim, Ulster, Ireland. He was the younger brother of William Hays Steen, James Steen, and Matthew Steen. He immigrated to America about 1755 with his parents and siblings. He married Elizabeth Boyd by 1759 and their first child was born about 1760.

Research Notes
Some Ancestry trees show Elizabeth Boyd, daughter of William Boyd and Elizabeth McTeer, to have married someone different from Robert Moses Steen. I am holding off on creating profiles for her parents until I can confirm them through other sources.
Additionally, some people show Elizabeth Boyd as the wife and/or consort of E. Luse.

Since they would have been married at the same time as she and Robert Steen were married, these appear to be two different women. The parents of Luse's spouse/consort are said to be William Boyd and Elizabeth McTeer. This means the details about the parents of one of these women has been co-mingled with the other. The Find A Grave Link to the wife of Robert Steen goes to the following record. The birth and death dates of Eleazer Luse's wife have been attached to the wife of Robert Steen.
