Biography

1833, November 4 - James Boyd is listed in the The Last Will and Testament of John Boyd Junior of Spencer County, Kentucky which was recorded in the probate book. "...and James my son to learn the saddlers trade".

John appoints his wife Tabitha as executor of his will. Heirs are listed as follows: Margaret, William, Robert, John, James and George. Also Betsy Boyd now Betsy Veech, Polly Boyd now Polly Stone, and Ruth Boyd now Ruth Carlin. A negro boy Charles is to be given to son George. Signed October 6, 1833.
