SULPHUR CREEK
THE LATE MRS ANDERSON.
Our obituary columns of yesterday an-
nounced the demise of a very old colonist
in the person of Isabella, widow of the 14 Nov 1906 NW Advocate
late John Anderson, of "Brook Vale"
Falmouth, East Coast, at the residence of
her son-in-law, Mr John Lade, of Sulphur
Creek. Deceased had reached the ad-
vanced age of 87 years, her husband having
predeceased her 18 years, he being at the
time of his death, 82 years of age. The
deceased lady was a native of Scotland
and a colonist of over 80 years, she having
arrived in Tasmania when quite a child,
accompanied by her mother and grand-
mother, both of whom also attained a ripe
age, the former, at the time of her
death being 84, and the latter 93. The
combined ages of the three generations
make a total of 264 years. Of a grown up
family of 14, there are still living six sons
and six daughters, all of whom are married
and settled in various parts of the Com-
monwealth.
