Boyd-6227 and Boyd-3957 appear to represent the same person because: Alfred (formerly Premier of Manitoba) mentions his siblings Thomas, Henry and Louisa Steinmetz in his will. He also mentions a the niece of his wife with the surname Warner. This means he almost certainly is the Alfred Boyd who married Sarah Warner in 1866 with his father's name given as William Clark Boyd hence these two are the same person. Also he mentions Thomas's wife and son (Sarah Harriet and Percival)
