Biography
Margaret Boyd (daughter of William Boyd and Elizabeth McTeer) was born about 1767 in PA, and died date unknown in Sevier, TN. She married William McGaughey.
This family lived near McGaughey's Fort on Boyd's Creek in Sevier Co. In the 1830 census of Sevier Co. Peggy McGaughey aged 60-70 years was listed as head of a household which included besides herself two males and two females aged 20-30 and one female aged 15-20 years.[1] She passed away in 1831.
