Biography
Melvin Glen Boyd was a son of Harry W. Boyd and Maud V. Stokes. He was born in Clarke County or Stephen's City, Frederick, Virginia in 1926. He fought in World War II and Korea. Melvin married Carrie Maxine Ridgeway on 20 Apr 1946 in Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland. They divorced in 1976. He married Gloria Jane Tomblin, daughter of Raymond Tomblin and Louise Smallwood, on 19 Mar 1977 in Berryville, Clarke, Virginia. Marvin died in 1997 and was buried in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.[1] .
