Biography

John L. Boyd and Mary Elizabeth Lester Boyd are buried at the junction of Hwy 21 & Hwy N. in unmarked graves. Only concrete edging around graves. Very grown up. James Bell writes that “John and Elizabeth Lester Boyd came to the county and put down roots north of Lesterville in an area still known to local people as Boyd Hill. John received KY land grants in Cumberland Co. 50 acres, 25 Oct 1818, Bk. E., pg 70, and 50 acres 25 Sep 1818, Bk E., pg 71, on Crocus Creek.
