Biography
James Lambert Boyd was born 23 Jun 1854 in Keene, Coshocton County, Ohio, son of John Russell Boyd and Mary Ann (Mulhall) Boyd.[1][2]
James was a farmer[1][2] and served as township trustee and president of the board of education of Keene Township[2].
He married first, Jennie Stratton in 1881.[1][2] They had children:
- Nettie Boyd b. 18 Dec 1882, m. R. J. Burrell, d. 1932[1][2]
- Kliness H. Boyd b. 17 Apr 1884, d. 1936[1][2]
He married second Mary Elizabeth Duncan 21 Aug 1890 in Coshocton County, Ohio.[1][2][3] They had children:
- Walter J. Boyd b. 17 May 1891[1][4]
- Bessie Grace Boyd b. 1 Jul 1893[1][5]
- Truman Helter Boyd b. 18 Sep 1895[1][6]
- Mary Amanda Boyd Conklin b. 19 Jan 1900[1][7]
- J. Blaine Boyd b. 7 Aug 1902[1]
- Lester S. Boyd b. 12 Oct 1904[1]
- Richard A. Boyd b. 28 Feb 1906[1]
- Elmer E. Boyd b. 14 Nov 1909[1]
James died 31 Jan 1941 in Keene, Coshocton County, Ohio[2], and was buried at Keene Methodist Cemetery, Keene, Coshocton County, Ohio[8].
