When Frankie W. Boykin and her twin brother Willie F. were born on March 15, 1893, in Darlington, South Carolina, their father, William, was 44 and their mother, Harriet, was 37. She had two sons and two daughters with Freeland Ham between 1919 and 1930. She died on November 15, 1984, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, at the age of 91.
