Biography

William Henry Boyle is the son of Alexander Boyle of County Down, Ireland, and emigrated to New Zealand, probably separately to his father and sisters, possibly with a wife, Mary. He has records of four children born with Mary from 1883 to 1889. There is a grave for a Mary Boyle in the Ellesmere Public Cemetery dated 1889, but thus far no evidence of a marriage in New Zealand or any maiden name.

Overall it looks like William married at least twice, both times to women named Mary. He had no children with Mary Nelson Carr (or Kerr).

William Henry Boyle, died 20 October 1907 aged 68 years, is buried in Ellesmere Public Cemetery. His wife, Mary Nelson Boyle, is buried with him.
