Biography

LATE MR. HENRY T. BOYLE

After a lengthy illness, Mr. Henry Thomas Boyle, well known in the building trade, died at his home in Wilson Street ,West Wallsend, at the age of 65 years. Mr.Boyle was the eldest son of the late Mr. Henry Boyle, of Raymond Terrace. He came to West Wallsend 28 years ago, and was employed by Mr. James Johnston as builder for a number of years. Later on he started in business as builder and contractor, and was assisted by this three sons. Mr. Boyle took an active interest in the local School of Arts, and for many years he occupied the position of vice-president. For his services he had the honour of appointment as a life member of the society.

The funeral, which was largely attended, left his late residence for West Wallsend Cemetery. The Rev. A. J. Cutler officiated at the home and graveside. The pall-bearers were Messrs E. and G. Hunter, J. Hinds and J. Armour. He has left a widow, three sons (Harry, William, and Alfred), and three daughters, (Mrs. T. Bainbridge, Carrie, and Mrs. T. Meredith), all of West Wallsend. Floral tributes were placed on the grave on behalf of his wife, Annie and Tom, lda and Tom, Carrie and Alf, Will and Elizabeth, Harry and Bella, Baldwin family, Stevens family Lizzie and Dave and nieces and nephews, Sister Amy, Mr. F. Donnelly and family, Mr. John Williams and family, Mr. and Mrs. T. Wylie, Councillor James Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Duguid and family, Mr. and Mrs. W Beatty and family, Mrs.Jenkins and famiIy, Mr. and Mrs. Kemp and family, Mr and Mr. A. Henry, Mr. and Mrs. A. Neilson, Mr and Mrs R. J. O'Donnell and family, members and adherents of the Methodist Church.
