Family Tree of Shaun Boyle
Biography
Shaun is the adopted son of Rev. Greg and Jane (Foster) Boyle. At the time of his birth, all adoptions in Iowa were closed adoptions, unless adopted by a family member. Therefore, since the adoption was not a family member adoption, Shaun has limited documentation about his biological family. All further relations mentioned below will be in reference to his adopted family.
He asked his maternal grandmother about his family background for a school project in elementary school, and learned that a cousin of his mother's had been researching the family history, and that his mother is a descendent of multiple Revolutionary War veterans.
What really got him started researching his family history was a booklet from a family reunion for the Blomgren family in 1982, which traced the Blomgren line a few generations into Sweden. Attempting to verify that information and provide source records became a passion of his, as well as learning to tell their stories.
He lived in Ventura, Iowa; Ankeny, Iowa; [1] Clear Lake, Iowa; [2] Waterloo, Iowa; [3] and Altoona, Iowa. [1]

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
