Daniel Boyle was born in Michigan in 1879 or 1880, and died in an explosion in Clackamas, Oregon in 1912, when his son was a year old. Daniel's death record gives his father's name as Morris. Others give his father as Maurice, born 1832 in Ireland, died 1922 in Michigan and Mary Ann Gallagher, born 1835 in Canada, and died 1900 in Michigan. Their son Daniel, born in Michigan in 1873, also married an Anna, but in this case, her surname was Hartwick. Also, in the 1910 census, Daniel says his parents were both born in Michigan. So Maurice and Mary Ann are presumably not his parents.
