There is some confusion over her name. The Nutting Genealogy [4] Gives her name as Joan multiple times based on personal recollection of the author. The Glover Histories also refers to her as Joan. However the name on the Memorial marker (tombstone?) is clearly Jane. [3] Her first daughter's name was Jane supporting the case that that was her given name. Based on personal recollections of family members it is likely that she used Joan as a nickname.
