Biography

She was born 10 Oct 1906, in Highland Park, illinois.

She married noted philosopher Mortimer Adler, but the couple was divorced in 1961. They had two sons together.

She moved from Chicago to San Francisco in 1952. There, she was volunteer for St. Luke's Hospital and later at public television station KQED-TV, where she had worked five days a week as a volunteer for 27 years. She produced news shows, worked on the annual fund-raising auction, and directed the station's central mail distribution.

She died of a cerebral hemorrhage, 24 Nov 1990, in san Francisco.
