European Aristocracy
Elisabeth Brabant was a member of the aristocracy in Europe.

Elisabeth was born in 1243, the daughter of Henry II, Duke of Brabant, and his second wife, Sophie of Thuringia.[1]

Unsuccessful negotiations in 1247 to marry a daughter of Henry II to Edward (later Edward I), eldest son of Henry III, King of England, probably related to Elisabeth.[1] She did marry on 13 July 1254 at Braunschweig, while still a child, Albrecht I, Herzog von Braunschweig (Duke of Brunswick), though the marriage wasn't consummated until 1258.[1]

Elisabeth died childless either on 17 April or 9 October 1261 and was buried at Braunschweig.[1]
