Biography

Chase Bracken was part of the history of the British Honourable East India Company

Chase was born in Westminster, London, on 26 December 1800. He was the son of Thomas Bracken and Mary Chase. He was baptised on January 1 1801 at St James' Westminster.[1][2]

On 29 September 1825 Chase married Jane Ann Grant in Kempsey, Worcestershire, England.[3] [4]

The couple moved to India where Chase was working for the Honourable East India Company in the 45th Native Infantry.[5]

Chase and Jane do not appear to have had any children together.

Chase died in India in 1827, and on 18th March 1828 administration of his will was granted to Thomas Bracken 'The brother and next of kin of the deceased'.[6]
