At first glance it appears some of J P's military records are conflicting, however the front and reverse sides of his U.S., Headstone Applications for Military Veterans, 1925-1970 clears them up. His first enlistment was 19 Sep. 1933 to 18 Sep. 1936, his second; 12 Jan. 1937 to 30 Mar. 1939, a third; 7 Dec. 1948 to 29 Dec. 1949, and his last; 30 Dec 1949 until his retirement on 28 Feb 1955.
