She married Thomas Columbus Reed on November 19, 1902, in Lexington, Oklahoma.  They had seven children in 10 years In 1910, they and their three children were living on their farm. .  In 1920, they are focused on raising cattle and hogs on their farm.  Before the 1930 census, they moved to Kern County, California, where they rented a house and Thomas was working as a laborer. 
Her husband Thomas died in 1938. Abbie died on January 12, 1940, in Imperial, California, at the age of 58.
