Jacob Bradbury Esq. is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A013307.
Jacob Bradbury was born on 30 October 1743 in Biddeford, Maine. His parents were Jacob Bradbury and Abigail (Eaton) Bradbury.[1]
He married Mary Goodwin on 8 May 1766 in Buxton, Maine.[1] He married second Mrs. Catherine (Simonton) Morris.[2][3]
Jacob Bradbury, Jr., served in the American Revolution. He was a Sergeant in Captain John Elden's Co. on "alarm at Falmouth the day it was set on fire by the enemy; marched to assist in preventing the enemy's landing." [4] Jacob Bradbury also distributed blankets to the soldiers from Buxton.[5][6]
Jacob passed away on 30 October 1811 in Buxton.[7] and is buried in South Buxton Cemetery.[8] His obituary was printed in the Portland Gazette on 4 November 1811.[9]
